In 1995, JeRM produced its first original play, Holy Loch. Holy Loch, a 1964 novel written by author Robert F. Mirvish, tells the story of a young woman, Moira Cameron as she struggles to raise her son and find fulfillment in her life. Set in the village of Holy Loch Scotland at a time when the United States Navy is establishing its polaris nuclear submarine base, Holy Loch paints a wonderful picture of the difficulties encountered when carefree American sailors descend on a fairly traditional small Scottish town.
